It usually achieves its deceptive purpose by impersonating others and imitating and forging various legitimate appearances and forms, such as impersonating public security organs, procuratorates, courts, businesses, companies, manufacturers, government officials, bank staff, and other types of institutional staff, and forging and impersonating recruitment, brushing orders, loans, mobile phone positioning, and soliciting prostitution, etc., to commit fraud. The spread of online fraud is relatively large, and it is developing rapidly. Online fraudsters often use people's tendency to avoid risks and harms, and by fabricating false phone calls and text messages, they carpet-bomb the masses with false information, covering a wide range and causing widespread harm in a very short period of time, resulting in widespread losses.
