The Hangzhou Hangtianxin Public Interest Legal Service Center's Mediation Office at the Gongshu District Labor and Personnel Dispute Arbitration Commission was inaugurated.

On the afternoon of March 12, 2019, the "Hangzhou Hangtianxin Public Interest Legal Service Center Mediation Office at the Gongshu District Labor and Personnel Dispute Arbitration Tribunal" was officially inaugurated at the Gongshu District Labor and Personnel Dispute Arbitration Tribunal. This is the first labor arbitration mediation office in Hangzhou City involving a law firm.

Fang Youqing, Deputy District Head of Gongshu District People's Government of Hangzhou; Wang Jiawu, Deputy Director of the Office of Gongshu District People's Government; Ge Tong, Director of Gongshu District Justice Bureau; Zheng Guoqing, Director of Gongshu District Human Resources and Social Security Bureau; Shen Xiangming, Vice President of Hangzhou Lawyers Association; and Zhu Hong, Vice President of Hangzhou Lawyers Association and President of Gongshu Branch, and other leaders attended the inauguration ceremony. Brother law firms in Gongshu District, including Honghong, Sandao, Tianda Republican, Huasheng, Yanmo, Houqi, Jinfeng, Junce, Yingshu, Taizheng, and Minhe, also participated in the inauguration ceremony. Zhejiang Legal News, Zhejiang Online, and Gongshu News reported on the establishment of the mediation office.

At the inauguration ceremony, Director Ge Tong, Director Zheng Guoqing, and Vice President Shen Xiangming delivered speeches on behalf of the Gongshu District Justice Bureau of Hangzhou, the Gongshu District Human Resources and Social Security Bureau of Hangzhou, and the Hangzhou Lawyers Association, respectively. The leaders extended their warm congratulations on the establishment of the mediation office and expressed their deep expectations and requirements for the future work of the office.

After the inauguration ceremony, the attendees held a seminar on the theme of "How to give full play to the role of lawyers in the mediation of labor dispute cases." Representatives from Yanmo, Taizheng, Sandao, Huasheng, and Houqi law firms all stated that they would mobilize their colleagues to register as mediators after returning, actively participate in the work of the mediation office, and contribute to the lawyer mediation work in Gongshu District.

In 2015, the General Office of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council issued the "Opinions on Improving the Multi-level Mechanism for Resolving Conflicts and Disputes," requiring full play to the role of lawyers in resolving conflicts and disputes. In line with the spirit of this opinion, the Gongshu District Justice Bureau optimized and integrated social resources, guiding lawyers, legal workers, and other social forces to participate in the resolution of conflicts and disputes. The establishment of the Hangtianxin Public Interest Center Mediation Office combines lawyer mediation with the resolution of labor disputes, representing a new measure in the field of labor and personnel arbitration for lawyer mediation work in our city, and it has important demonstrative significance.
