Gathering Youthful Aspirations, Building Dreams of Justice Together - A Report on the Party Branch Activities of Zhejiang Hangtianxin Law Firm

On the eve of July 1st, 2017, on the afternoon of June 30th, the Party branch of Zhejiang Hangtianxin Law Firm, together with the firm's Youth League Committee, led young Party and League member lawyers to visit and exchange experiences at Hangzhou West Suburban Prison. A forum for young people in the judicial system was also held, themed "凝聚青春志，共筑司法梦" (Gathering Youth's Aspirations, Building Judicial Dreams). Wang Chun, director of the Political Department of West Suburban Prison; Li Bangshi, deputy director of the Political Department; Zang Yi, Party branch secretary of the Third Monitoring Area; over 20 members of the prison's Youth League Committee; Lou Yuguang, senior partner and deputy director of Hangtianxin; Wang Ting, senior partner and deputy director; Wang Zhiming, Party branch member and lawyer; and over 30 young Party and League member lawyers participated in this event.
This activity included three main items: watching a series of prison documentaries to learn about the history of prison development; visiting the prison and providing legal advice to inmates; and discussing how to leverage the strength of young people in judicial work and promote Party building work. At the forum, lawyers from our firm and prison officers engaged in in-depth exchanges through a question-and-answer format. Lawyer Wang Zhiming, youth committee member of our Party branch, introduced the basic situation of the Hangtianxin Law Firm's Party branch and provided a detailed explanation of the monthly fixed activity day for Party members. The 15th of each month is designated as the fixed activity day for our firm's Party members. Activities typically include Party lessons and legal consultations. Discussions were held with the prison's Party branch regarding the implementation of Party member activities, aiming to enhance the vitality of the Party branch and promote Party building to a new level.
Through this visit and exchange activity, young Party member lawyers gained a deeper understanding of the political guarantee that ensuring the smooth progress of Party building work provides for the steady progress of judicial work. While enhancing the vitality of the Party branch, they actively participate in and cooperate with Party building work, playing an exemplary role as Party member lawyers. This promotes the political and organizational advantages of the firm's Party branch, driving continuous improvement in the ideological and professional ethics of the entire firm, and contributing to judicial work.
