Hangtianxin Party branch visited the site of the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China, tracing the spirit of the Red Boat.

On July 1, 2017, the Communist Party of China (CPC) celebrated its 96th anniversary. On this day of national celebration, the Zhejiang Hangtianxin Law Firm's branch organization took 24 party member lawyers to Jiaxing, Zhejiang, to visit the site of the CPC's First National Congress—the Red Boat—and a revolutionary memorial hall. This is an annual 'red journey' activity required of the Hangtianxin Law Firm's branch since its establishment.

A gentle breeze swept across the surface of Nanhu Lake, and the historical scroll unfolded slowly in our minds. The First National Congress of the Communist Party of China concluded successfully here. The Party's program was adopted, defining the Party's name, goals, and organizational structure, establishing the central task of the Party's founding. This meeting solemnly proclaimed the official founding of the Communist Party of China, thereby changing the destiny of the Chinese nation. This was a groundbreaking event in Chinese history. Since the founding of the CPC, the vast numbers of Chinese people who lived in dire straits had a reliable organizer and leader, and the Chinese revolution had strong leadership. Facing the 'revolutionary cradle' of the Red Boat, steeped in history, we all felt that the CPC, despite disruptions and obstacles from various malicious forces, overcame difficulties with wisdom and indomitable revolutionary spirit. Even today, we can deeply feel the 'Red Boat Spirit'—the pioneering spirit of breaking new ground and daring to be the first; the tenacious spirit of pursuing ideals; and the dedication of serving the public and the people.

At the revolutionary memorial hall, the members of the Zhejiang Hangtianxin Law Firm's branch renewed their party membership oaths, their hearts filled with emotion, renewing their commitment to lifelong devotion to communism. With infinite respect, we deeply commemorated the Party's revolutionary pioneers and recalled the glorious past. Here, we learned about the Party's development, from the first secretary Chen Duxiu to the great leader Mao Zedong, and to the current respected General Secretary Xi Jinping. China has entered a new century, and the people have become masters of their own country. On this long road, countless Communist Party members sacrificed their lives, building the strong foundation of the CPC's development. In these groundbreaking 96 years, the CPC led the Chinese people to write a magnificent history of national liberation, a turbulent history of socialist construction, and a grand history of reform and opening up. It irrevocably ended the tragic fate of modern China's internal and external troubles and poverty, and irrevocably opened a new historical process of the Chinese nation's continuous development and growth toward great rejuvenation.

In the new era of building a moderately prosperous society in all respects, the party member lawyers of the Zhejiang Hangtianxin Law Firm will continue to carry forward the 'Red Boat Spirit,' always remembering history, carrying forward the past, contributing to the Party's cause, and striving to write a new chapter in achieving the goals of the 'two centenary goals'.
