Hangtianxin Law and Jurisprudence Research Association holds a study meeting

3 Month 31 Day, Hangzhou Tianxin Law Firm’s Jurisprudence and Legislation Research Association held 2021 its first annual study meeting. The meeting was chaired by He Changming, the head of the Jurisprudence and Legislation Research Association, with Liao Siyu attending as an invited guest. All members of the Jurisprudence and Legislation Research Association and interested lawyers attended the meeting as observers.
He Changming introduced a case involving a guarantee period—a contract dispute between a Hangzhou investment enterprise and nine defendants—to the attending lawyers, detailing the calculation of the guarantee period, its legal basis, and practical operational experience. The lawyers in attendance engaged in an in-depth discussion of the practical application of the guarantee period, referencing relevant articles in the Civil Code and the Interpretation of the Guarantee Law. He Changming also introduced the calculation method for second-instance appeal fees and shared special practical cases.
Liao Siyu shared two cases involving compound litigation claims—one concerning a rental contract dispute and another involving a retrial case from the Supreme People’s Court. He Changming provided a legal analysis, summarizing the legal relationships and logic behind compound litigation claims, and offered insightful commentary.
Finally, He Changming outlined the Jurisprudence and Legislation Research Association’s upcoming plans.
