Lawyers from Hangtianxin Law Firm attended the city-wide advanced deeds report meeting of the judicial administration system.

On the afternoon of July 6, 2021, the Hangzhou Municipal Bureau of Justice held a report meeting to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China and the advanced deeds of the city's judicial administration system, with the theme "Always Following the Party, a New Journey of the Rule of Law." Based on the advanced representatives of the judicial administration system selected for the Hangzhou Municipal Party Committee's Political and Legal Team Education Rectification Role Model Report Group, the meeting was divided into three chapters: "Setting Sail on a Glorious Path," "Shouldering the Responsibility," and "A New Chapter of Party Building." Using various forms such as musical poetry recitation, scenario narration, role model presentations, and video broadcasts, the meeting showcased the pursuit of a century of Party history and the loyalty of Hangzhou's judicial administration personnel, demonstrating the system's loyalty to the Party, service to the people, impartial law enforcement, and strict discipline, and continuously gathering the legal strength to build a Hangzhou that is governed by law and enjoys peace and security, striving to be a model city for high-quality development and common prosperity in Zhejiang Province.

At this advanced deeds report meeting, four lawyers from our firm—Wang Hongyao, Lou Yuguang, Chen Zhenhua, and Chen Chunping—represented Hangzhou's public interest lawyers, showcasing Hangtianxin Law Firm's tradition of public interest through a scenario recitation titled "The Look of a Lawyer."

"The Look of a Lawyer" is an original scenario recitation created by Hangtianxin Law Firm. Through poetry recitations in three chapters—"The Plateau Lawyer," "The Vanguard Lawyer," and "The She Ethnic Lawyer"—it demonstrates the public interest legacy and dedication of generations of lawyers under Hangtianxin Law Firm's development concept of "promoting firm building through Party building and development through public interest."

Chapter 1: "The Look of a Plateau Lawyer"

(Summary: This chapter showcases the touching story of Hangtianxin lawyers, represented by lawyer Wang Hongyao, participating in the "1+1" China Legal Aid Volunteer Action and providing legal aid in Qinghai from 2012-2013).

 

The Yangtze River is long, the Yellow River bends.

Remembering our roots, following the call of our hearts,

We came to the place closest to the sun—Qinghai.

The ultraviolet rays have given my face a high-altitude tan.

The swaying Qingke wine cannot intoxicate, but altitude sickness is hard to resist.

 

My light steps have become heavy,

But I still have to move forward energetically.

Because, in my mind and in my dreams, I always see pairs of expectant eyes.

When I see a sixteen-year-old child about to go to prison for not knowing the law;

When I see a young mother who has not registered her marriage being driven out of her husband's family and left homeless;

When I see a poor old person suffering from a traffic accident without compensation and unable to afford treatment, having to endure excruciating pain;

I just want to do my best to help these brothers and sisters on the plateau heal their inner wounds and regain a happy life.

 

On the plateau town at an altitude of 3000 meters, I am often alone,

When lonely, I talk to myself;

When lonely, I ride alone to the shore of Qinghai Lake. The quiet lake surface is like a polished silver plate, through which I can always see my son's lovely smile.

My sick mother always says "I'm fine, don't worry" every time she calls, but how can I not know that she is enduring excruciating pain every moment?

 

A year of aid work is short, but unforgettable.

Lawyers are guardians of socialist law.

It is our responsibility and obligation as lawyers to spread the sunlight of the rule of law to every corner of the snowy plateau.

 

Chapter 2: "The Look of a Vanguard Lawyer"

(Summary: This chapter showcases the touching stories of the Hangtianxin lawyers' criminal public interest team, represented by Lou Yuguang, carrying out a series of public interest legal aid activities from 2014-2018, and subsequently being named "Top Ten Vanguard Lawyers").

 

Benevolence is like water, virtue bears all things.

On New Year's Day 2019,

The Hangtianxin Public Legal Service Center mediation office was officially established at the Gongshu District Labor and Personnel Arbitration Committee,

To date, it has helped workers recover over 7 million yuan in economic losses.

Behind the numbers is the crystallization of the countless days and nights of joint efforts by the Shangshan lawyer team.

 

Vulnerable groups are often the pillars of the family.

Chapter Three The Appearance of Lawyers in She Ethnic Minority Areas

(Content introduction: This chapter showcases the wonderful deeds of lawyers Chen Zhenhua and Chen Chunping in 2019-2020, further carrying forward the Hang Tianxin public welfare culture, participating in Zhejiang Province's 1+1 legal aid volunteer action, and going to She ethnic minority areas of Jingning for legal aid).

 

Chen Zhenhua:

I am from Liaoning, but because of the 1+1 legal volunteer action, I formed a bond with Jingning, She ethnic minority area;

Before leaving, my wife said to me: "Go! You are enthusiastic about public welfare, I support you, and I will go with you, wherever we go, that will be our home. Let's connect our hearts and hold hands, and we'll walk the path of public welfare together."

This is a promise of love;

The dawn of the Phoenix City quietly arrives, we are already on the road;

The lights in the mediation room are bright at midnight, we are still working;

We have walked through the streets and alleys, visited mountain homes;

In 2019, we spent a happy Spring Festival in She ethnic minority area.

 

When the epidemic struck suddenly,

we did not retreat,

we firmly stood with the people of She ethnic minority area in fighting the epidemic,

conducting online special legal publicity,

helping enterprises study epidemic-related legal issues.

We always believe:

Chen Chunping:

I am proud to be able to provide legal assistance to the people of She ethnic minority area in 2020.

I am happy about the deep friendship built through assistance in 2020.

 

To this day, I still deeply remember,

a construction worker, for a few thousand yuan in wages,

specially came to Jingning to rent a house and demand his wages

After several twists and turns, he was unable to get his wages.

 

When the case was accepted and assigned to me,

the arbitration time limit had passed,

coupled with the difficulty in confirming and proving the employer,

making the hope of a favorable outcome even more bleak.

After I took over the case, I did my best,

and finally settled the case by means of on-the-spot performance.

 

On the streets of Jingning,

the client, after receiving his wages, was moved to tears and bowed to express his gratitude.

After returning to his hometown, he sent me local products.

I accepted his kindness but returned the gifts, and bought him an extra gift.

From the people, to the people.
