The first plenary meeting of the Zhejiang Provincial Lawyers Association's Conduct Supervision Committee was held at the Hangzhou Tianxin Law Firm

On the afternoon of August 2, the first plenary meeting of the Provincial Bar Association's Conduct Supervision Committee was held in the meeting room of Zhejiang Hangtianxin Law Firm. Yu Yuehai, director of the Conduct Supervision Committee, presided over the meeting. Committee vice directors Hu Liming (vice president of Ningbo Lawyers Association, member of the Provincial Bar Association's Discipline Committee), Yu Weiqing (vice president of Shaoxing Lawyers Association, member of the Provincial Bar Association's Discipline Committee), committee members Zheng Hai (vice president of Wenzhou Lawyers Association, director of the Provincial Bar Association), Ji Wangping (vice president of Lishui Lawyers Association), Zhao Yi (member of Hangzhou Lawyers Association's Discipline Committee and director of the Complaints Committee), and Chen Xiangyu (standing director of Hangzhou Lawyers Association) attended the meeting. Chen Sanlian, vice president of the Provincial Bar Association; Xiang Jianmin, director of the Provincial Bar Association's Discipline Committee; Cao Yue, vice secretary-general of the Provincial Bar Association; Jiang Yuanjun, supervisor of the Provincial Bar Association; and Chen Gang, from the Provincial Bar Association's Membership Department, were invited to attend.

The meeting discussed and confirmed the division of responsibilities among the director and vice directors; determined that in the second half of this year, supervision and inspection of the Ningbo Lawyers Association and two law firms would be conducted regarding lawyer professional ethics and disciplinary matters; took responsibility for revising and drafting three normative documents related to the implementation of lawyer professional ethics and disciplinary rules; determined the implementation of a warning letter system for common occupational risks among lawyers across the province, and a report on the disciplinary actions taken against lawyers across the province for violations of regulations and laws would be issued at the end of the year; determined the compilation of Zhejiang Province's lawyer industry disciplinary cases for 2017-2018; and took responsibility for responding to inquiries from city bar associations regarding difficult cases. Other matters were also discussed and determined at the meeting. Chen Sanlian, vice president of the Provincial Bar Association, and Xiang Jianmin, director of the Provincial Bar Association's Discipline Committee, gave important speeches at the meeting, urging the newly elected Conduct Supervision Committee to actively perform its duties, be courageous in taking responsibility, be pioneering and enterprising, and to play an important role in the construction of Zhejiang Province's legal profession.
